B.Sc. Physics or Bachelor of Science in Physics is an undergraduate Physics course. Physics is a natural science that involves the study of matter and its motion through space time, along with related concepts such as energy and force. More broadly, it is the general analysis of nature, conducted to understand how the universe behaves. The duration of the course is three years and the syllabus is divided into six semesters. The degree course is very important and valuable as it is job orienting in nature that opens wide spread scopes for the candidates after its completion not only in educational field but also many other areas.  

The bachelor degree course in Physics acts as the base to study various higher education courses. Upon completion of the course, the candidate can go for master’s degree in various specialized areas. There is provision to go for higher education after master’s degree in Physics.

 Physics graduates can find ample career openings both in public as well as private sector enterprises. They can apply for all governmental jobs that insist graduation as the basic qualification. One can find various opportunities in governmental organizations like DRDO, VSSC, ISRO, SSPL, etc. They are also recruited in space research centers and in research laboratories.

 

Admission Procedures

Duration- 3 years Eligibility- Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) or its equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics,Computer Science

Candidate intrested in seeking admission are required to register through  Centralised  Admission Process (CAP) of the university of calicut ,irrespective of the quota                                  (General Merit/Reservation/sports/Community/Managment) 50% of the seats are set aside for the general merit list as per CAP and remaining 50% are reserved for managment  quota.The  managment reserve the right to reject any application without assigining reason.

The college will issue application directly only the candidates seeking admission under the managment quota.The candidates shall produce print out of the online application to get application from the college .The college will not issue application to candidates without a valid CAP registrationCandidaate who wish to applay under this quata should collect the prescribed form from the college office for a fee of Rs 300/- 

Fees structure for the merit quota and for the Management Quota & NRI Quota will be announced later after executing agreement with the Government of Kerala.

If any candidate admitted against "Government or Management Quota" discontinues the studies, after the closing of admission, to join other courses or college or other purposes he/she is liable to pay the entire course fee or the fee for the remaining years whichever is higher.

The date of closing of admission for Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges will be notified by the Government of Kerala or the entrance commissioner. After this date all students leaving the college for any reason has to be paid the entire course fee or the balance fee for the remaining years irrespective of annual family income/nationality/reservation seats.

 

 

Scholarships are available to meritorious and financially backward students. Full fees and partial fees will be given as scholarship. Students should apply separately for availing scholarships.
