Geology Field Visit 2019



Geology is the science that concerned with the natural phenomena of the earth. The best way to observe the phenomena is to see them live. For this reason, geology is often termed as visual science. So field study and practical experience is very much needed along with the theoretical knowledge to gain pure knowledge on geology. Geological field work usually involves the study and interpretation of rocks, topographic forms etc. Geological field work is a compulsory course geology department, which supplements the practical knowledge. The chief purpose of geological field work is to get aquatinted with different geological features and structures. For this reason, the Department of Geology conducted a field trip of 12 days start on 19 th December and came to an end on 30 th December 2019.On our geological field trip, through Tamil nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, maximum number of fossils and rock samples are collected by students. In addition to this students visited structural features like Natural rock bridge in Tirupati, Panna river valley,Gandikotta of Andhra Pradesh and Belum caves of Telangana and also several minarals
