FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 2017

The Programme aimed at enhancing the academic and intellectual environment in the Institutions and teaching capabilities of the faculty members, FDP is a 3-Day programme, specially designed for faculty members of young and experienced hands of KR's Sree Narayana College. The programme enables the participants to develop competence in understanding recent advances in teaching learning process, to learn to improve pedagogies and to better presentation skill to become an effective teaching faculty. A three -days Faculty Development Programme (FDP2017) on New Trends in Web Based Teaching & Teaching Excellence was successfully conducted in the KR's Sree Narayana College, Thozhuvanoor, Valanchery on 6th -8th September 2017. The FDP 2017 received an overwhelming response with 28 participants from KR's Sree Narayana College. Mr.Ajay V.A, Principal and Mr.Abdul Majeed.C.K, Department of English were the Convenor and Coordinator of the programme respectively. Programme Design: The primary thrust of the 3-day programme was to equip the participants with integrating technology into their work routine and teaching skills. Emphasis has also been given to understanding of child psychology of teaching, design and development of learning resources and effective communication skills. The course contained following sessions: Day 1 Web Based Learning Tools by Dr.Thiyagu Day 2 Skillful Teaching Towards Expertise by Dr.Rosamma Philip Day 3, Session 1 Team Building by Dr. B. Anirudhan Day 3, Session 2 Using of Effective Communication Skills Through Web Resources by Roveena B D'coto
